About Us

I’m Debbie Patterson and I am obsessed by all things design. I began professionally designing interiors  in 2002 and I’m so happy that I get to do what I love for a living

Debbie Patterson of Patterson Decorating & Drapes and Design www.PattersonDecoratingGroup.com/blogI live and work in Temecula, California and I love it here.  I’m a native Californian, but I’ve moved around a bit which has allowed me to experience how design differs in other parts of the country. In addition to California, I’ve lived  in Alabama, The U.S. Virgin Islands, Texas and New Orleans and all these places have influenced my taste and style.

I work with local client’s through in home consultations. I create design plans, custom window treatments, select furnishings and colors. All the services that you would expect a designer to provide.

I also create E-design plans for clients who are located out of the area or whose schedules don’t allow enough time to meet with a designer.  I create the design and then send it to my client for them to implement in their home. On-line design has become one of my most popular services because it saves clients money, and it eliminates the need for in-home meetings.

A few years ago we created Drapes and Design to offer clients custom made window treatments that are simple to order and the very best quality.

In 2012 my dear Uncle introduced my husband and I to the world of horse racing. One thing led Debbie and our retired racehorse Ol' Dogtown www.PattersonDecoratingGroup.com/blogto another, and we now own (with a partner) a racehorse named Wicked Fever. He is just beginning his career and there is no telling what will happen.  I occasionally write about him and the other two retired racehorse’s we share our lives with.

I’m constantly searching for design inspiration and I love sharing it on my blog.  I hope it inspires you to decorate and make your home a reflection of who you are, no matter your budget or decorating style. There are so many talented designers, builders, architects and bloggers and I love sharing their work with you.
